Hello, are you able to add a state to a hierarchy or is it only on measures? The data point that I want to add a state to is a boolean so changing it to a measure would result in the data point returning a number and not True/False. If someone could help me out with this that would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @gabriel.molina,
I had this on my list of things to cover when I saw your post, so I quickly got this video finished for you. I hope this helps you.
Cheers.
Thank you for the quick reply.
Hi Gabriel,
The quick answer is yes, you can add states with only a hierarchy: just leave the Measure dropdown as “(None)” when creating the state group, and add your condition(s) that check for hierarchy values (True or False in your case). If it helps, there is a walkthrough and an example here: https://www.dundas.com/support/learning/documentation/analyze-data/set-up-states-on-a-metric-set
(You can also check for hierarchy values in your conditions even if the state group is associated with a measure, the conditions that you add are up to you.)
