Why can't I figure this out? count measure

Hi there! Can’t believe I have to ask this but I am STUCK! I set up this count measure for this dashboard I’m creating, and the count measure is counting patient id. I actually have more then one level of identifying my patients and want to change the count to “count” a different hierarchy. Trying to edit this, I can’t figure out how to change it! I tried to start from scratch, I looked up count measures, I can’t remember no matter what I do how I set this up. Is it a filter / parameter I have to change and not the actual metric set? Does anyone know? Thanks!

Not sure what you mean here?
Are you saying that the Patient ID is a multi level Hierarchy? if yes please show screen grab.
If yes, I would try just dragging that level over to the measure and it should make a count for you, I think.

I would agree with @james.davis here. It seems likely that what you have originally done is to drag the hierarchy from the data cube/data connector in the explore panel on the right, into the measure section of the data analysis panel.

right in the dat panel expand the hierarchy to drag the level you want a count of.
