[TIP 90] - Going Back to Your Original Visualization After Re-Visualizing

The re-visualize interaction is a very powerful interaction that allows any user to quickly see data under a different lens. Sometimes one visualization type can reveal patterns that you can’t see in another and sometimes seeing the details or the big picture quickly, is easier to do in one visualization over another.

Dundas BI encourages users to explore the data in the visualization of their choice by using the re-visualize interaction, but it also allows users to easily go back to their starting point using the “Revert to original” option that shows up in the re-visualize menu in case your visualization is checked-in and you re-visualized to a different visualization type.

This option will allow users to not only go back to their original visualization type, but also recover all the design settings that were applied to it so they can keep on using it exactly as did before they started experimenting with the re-visualize interaction.
