[TIP 87] - Keep your Selection Highlighted When Using a Filter Interaction for a Visual Confirmation

If you setup a filter interaction on your dashboard in order to filter one visual by clicking on another, it may be helpful to the consumers of the dashboards to also better understand which point they clicked on by highlighting the original data point.

For example, you can see below that Canada is highlighted on the left, helping the user to confirm that he clicked on Canada and that is indeed what filtered the table on the right:

The default highlighting behavior of Dundas BI is set trigger on hover, but after the mouse moves away, the highlighting is lost. To keep the highlighting on the selected point even if after the mouse moves away, simply check the Click To Select Points property under this visualization’s Look tab:
