[TIP 86] Using Placeholders to Personalize & Automate your Scheduled Email Delivery

When scheduling emails to push out content to users, you can control the email message’s subject and body.

Placeholders can help you craft an automated subject and body that is relevant to the recipient. For example, you can use the view name and creation date in your subject and then the recipient name, view name and user name in your body to help the user understand when the report was created, that it’s indeed for him (i.e. using his data settings) and that it’s for a certain report, which is useful in the case where multiple emails are configured for different reports.

Accessing those placeholders is easily done via the + menu next to the subject and body text boxes:
