[TIP 81] Set Table's Cell Text Via States For Efficient Value Highlighting

Using states on your metric set is a great way to highlight certain values (bad or good).


For example, in a large table, you may want to highlight only the cells that are above a certain threshold as those are the ones that require additional attention. The highlighting can be done by controlling the cell style - for example, by applying a different color to the cell background.


Starting from Version 5.0.1, you can take this a step further and control the cell text as well!


As part of your state definition, you will now see the option to define the text value where you can override the cell value and just place a more meaningful text that will help the user better focus either by getting their attention, or by removing the focus from a cell value that doesn't require any special attention.
