[TIP 68] Setting Up States Without Using A Measure

At times, you may need to highlight some values in your data based on text rather than based on a numeric value. For example, you might have a daily report of your operations status and you wish to flag the Warning and Error status.


Starting from Dundas BI 5, you can do so by setting up states without using a numeric value in your definition. To do so, simply leave the measure selection on none, and define your condition on the dimension value you want to flag.


Here is a simple example of how it could look like:

I have been wanting this so badly. But now I am sad becuase I got nothing I can see coming up to use it on and am too busy to go change the other stuff I did to use it.
