[TIP 52] Drawing Other Visuals on Existing Maps

Maps are commonly visualizing data by coloring an entire area (i.e. thematic maps or “choropleth”) or by placing symbols on top of the map, usually to indicate a specific location (that can then be differentiated from other locations using size, color and symbol type).


At times, it may make sense to take your maps even further and instead of visualizing a specific symbol, show additional data about a certain location, for example, in the shape of a pie chart.


While not a very common use case – it still doable in Dundas BI and we have prepared a sample for it so you can easily download it and apply it in your instance. The sample is available under our script library:
