Time Scrubber Control to move through Time on a visualization

I really like the way the CPU Usage, in v5, automatically animates to show the profile of usage. Is there a script to do this? If so does anyone have an example they can share.

For a long time (since we started using Dundas) I have wanted to creat a visualization that has a "time scrubber" and as the user moves the "time scrubber" control the visualization moves through time on a given axis and changes on the fly, similar to the above (but manually moving using the mentioned control). My vision also has a "play button" next to the "time scrubber" that would play move time forward at a specified pace from the point in time the "time scrubber" is set.

An example is a bubble chart of customers that over time float up and get bigger, then as contracts fall off, the bubbles "burst" or disappear.

Has anyone done this or something similar?

The profile usage can be recreated without scripting - all you need is to set up data refresh and bypass caching.

As for your wish of a time scrubber with a play button, we could go into trying to script this... or you could hold your breath in anticipation for the new features that will be released very soon :)

Hmmm... I'm holding my breath! any specifics on what "very soon" means? :)

Unfortunately very soon is the best we can give you right now *cough*mid-May*cough*.

I think you should be able to achieve your vision with this!
