Scorcards vs Reports

Im a bit confused over the advantages and disadvantages / when I would use a scorecard over a Report or Dashboard?

They are very similar. The main difference is in supporting multiple page configuration. You will see this difference the most when exporting to PDF, since you can essentially customize how every page looks.


You will see that a report has some areas that a scorecard does not:

  • Report Header
  • Page Header
  • Page Footer
  • Report Footer


As well as some page-related properties:

  • Paper size and margins
  • Display area on a new page
  • Display the content following this area on a new page


Another difference is that the report designer offers a Labels tab to help you work with placeholder and view parameter labels.
