Hi James,
SharePoint online normally has higher security than on-premises and hence we cannot fill in the selected view automatically. The best way to use the app part is to select the view you want and copy the View Key that is filled at the bottom of that window. Once you have the View Key, paste it into the property in the configuration of the app part which is also called View Key.

I found that the Dundas Online SharePoint webpart works only if you use windows log in, not when you use a Dundas log in. well for going directly to a dashboard anyway.
Dundas, Why not take a little time to update the help page that tell you how to use this webpart with its limitations because in the helpdesk emails we had back and forth you said there was a know issue because SharePoint online has different security. if it had been stated on the how to page (sorry i dont have the link right now) I would not have had to contact help or make this post I just would have known.
Thanks for the comment James, i’ll make sure our team is aware a request a documentation update.
