How to import numeric values in excel

Hi,
we have issues importing excel files as it doesn’t get correct nuemeric format
In the cell we have 102.33 .
I have sat up the column as double .
It get is as NULL value.
I need to import as string an the use data conversion object.
is there something i missed?

Flat files like Excel are processed a little differently than database data. When you mentioned the column is set up as double, do you mean that in Excel? Or is it just listed like so in Dundas?
