How to create the transpose for the data in Dundas
Hi Mitsu,
Your CEID, Brand, and PY_YTD_REV columns are going to be listed as two hierarchies and a measure. Your required format at the bottom would be accomplished by selecting PY_YTD_REV as your measure, CEID on Rows, and Brand on Columns in the Data Analysis Panel of a metric set - this means you want a separate column for each Brand. (There is no need for any other type of “transposing” in this case.)
Hi Jamie,
Thanks for your response. Sorry i did not post the entire problem here as i partitioned and copied the part of the problem. We have the requirement to automate a manual report in excel. The report is having different sections with different source of data. and they are merged together for a business partner data. The table structure is as above.Brands are as rows but only for few specific sections only we want to group by brands so we need to transpose brands for those sections only.
Hello @mitsu.mehta,
The excel file looks very similar with a pivot table. You can try to use the pivot option from the Dundas Cube. An idea can be the following: can create several pivots and after this you can use a formula visualization in order to map an create the entire table.
