Default a metric on a dashboard to match the created metric

Hi all,

Question, Is there a way to default back a metric on a dashboard to match the originally created metric exactly?

I have a few metrics which are pulled onto the dashboard, but I have made a couple of adjustments to them as I re-use the metric over again for different things.

I have had to change a calendar recently, thus making me wonder is there a way to make the metric on the dashboard match the updated metric exactly with a click of a button?

I know you can force the current setup of a metric on a dashboard back down to the created metric in the background, but I need to do the opposite direction.

Advice is appreciated as this will save a lot of time and effort on my behalf having to change all the metrics manually on the dashboard.

I have asked for this as well.
here what I been told.
If you make a change to the metric set that is a change in what data it shows then the copies on the dashboard will update. but if you just make a visual change (like color or text ext) then it will not and the only way to get that type of change to other dashboards is to take it off and put it back on.
I have asked for a way to manually make the copies update, even pick what dashboards get them even maybe go to each dashboard and tell each copy to update.
Since I was the only one that asked for it it been put very low on this of things to implement.

the only work around I have found is to get the metric set right as possible before putting it on a dashboard. then only put it on one dashboard, and try to get it perfect before you use it on other dashboards. this does not always work because the users want to test a fully developed solution and will only tell you after that what needs to change and then you end up having to make small changes X number of times or removing the metric set X number of time and add it back and hooking up all the filters back.
