Creating a formula for a data point within a row

Hi,

I am interested in creating a table that shows % of one of the options within a row. To give you an example: One column header is “Type” and consists of “Recycled” “Non-Recycled”, another column header gives you the values for the amount of waste that is recycled and not recycled. If Recycled: 5, Non-Recycled: 10, Total: 15, I wanted to create a formula that gives me Recycled/ Total: 5/15=33%.

Is there a way that I can do this without having to rework the spreadsheet completely?

Thanks,

Can you clarify how you would calculate the total for recycled and not-recycled? for example, your table only shows recycled rows but I assume you would have other rows for the same dates with the type of not-recycled and a value for those rows? Then you would need to sum the 2 rows together (of the same date) to get the total so you can calculate the percentage for that row? In addition, I assume you would want to show results in each row? If you could share an example of what end result should look like that will help us to point you in the right direction. Right now I can think of a few options but before I send you down the wrong path I want to make sure we are on the same page
